Rates:

Individuals:   $125 (per 50 min. session)
Couples:       $150 (per 50 min. session)
Families:       $150 (per 50 min. session)

Groups:    My fee  varies depending on # of sessions and length.  Generally my groups range between $40-60 per session/ per attendees.   

Workshops:  vary depending on venue, topic, and length.  However, I frequently offer free workshops to the community as part of my mission to contribute to the well-being of our beautiful community.

 

Forms of Payment:

We accept cash, checks, and credit cards.  Credit card payments are subject to a small processing fee.  Payments are made at the start of each session.   Any returned checks are subject to an added processing fee.

Victim Witness: We also accept Victim Witness funding. For more information visit www.victim.org or contact us to discuss.

At this time we are not accepting any in-network insurance payments.   

 

Insurance:

If you wish to still attempt to get reimbursed from your out-of-network insurance coverage, we are happy to provide you a monthly billing statement free of charge.  However, payments are still expected to be made to us at the start of each session and the responsibility to submit the appropriate documentation to the health insurance company remains with the client(s).   

Please be aware that there are no guarantees that your provider will reimburse you in full and/or in a timely manner.  Some insurance plans or employee benefits plans may only cover part of our fees even after your deductibles are met.

We strongly suggest you contact your provider and get clarifications on your coverage prior to seeking treatment.  Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits as part of my plan?
  • Do I have coverage for an out-of-network mental health provider?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • Do I need to get reauthorized more sessions after a certain number of
    treatments to continue?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the reimbursement coverage amount per therapy session? Is there a max or cutoff?
  • What type of information does my therapist have to disclose to my insurance plan for me to get reimbursed? (And ask yourself if that is acceptable for you.  Private-pay clients still enjoy the greatest amount of privacy over insurance clients).
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?  Or other?


Cancellation Policy:

If you do not show up or cannot come for your scheduled therapy appointment, and would like to avoid paying a cancellation/no-show fee (the full cost of the session), please notify me at least 48 hours in advance at 650-285-2375 or by email.  In some extreme cases, the therapist may waive this fee once if the situation warrants such an exception and the client account is in good standing.
